Sometimes people assume that when you say “healthy food” it basically tastes like cardboard, is made up of random meat replacements and well, many people are just not interested in giving up their comfort foods.
However, I am always on the look to find healthy versions of my favourite foods. Since I love burgers, in the summer, in the winter, well basically all year round. I had to find a burger recipe that was going to satisfy my burger cravings, while ensuring that I don’t feel guilty. Luckily, I have found a recipe that is popular in our kitchen. So I am sharing it with you today! Enjoy!
- 4 3/4 1.25 lb. ground turkey
- 1Lg. egg
- A pinch Salt and pepper
- 1/4 cup finely chopped Sun dried tomatoes
- 1/3 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup crumbled feta
- 1 tsp dried oregano, dried
- 1/2 cup finely chopped frozen spinach
- 2 finely chopped Garlic
- 1 Lemon
- 1 finely chopped Red onion
- 1/4 cup plain greek yogurt, plain
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, except for the greek yogurt (we will come back to that later). Form patties using the turkey mixture and grill for a healthier option. Use the greek yogurt as a topping on the burger.
